One of the top five questions I am asked from my FBFs (fat-burning friends) is HOW to cook bacon efficiently. If you’re like me, you don’t want to spend every day in the kitchen making bacon. Now, a package of bacon would last me several days, but I can’t keep other hands in this home out of my bacon (guilty party: husband).
I’ve been cooking bacon tubes since I started my keto journey. I can fit two full packages of bacon in my backing pan this way. Baking this much at once keeps plenty of bacon on hand for a few days.

Hi Christine,
I live in South Africa and I was wondering what is the weight of one packet of bacon that you use? Most of our bacon here comes in 200g (7.5 ounces)packs, with 7 – 8 slices per pack. You say you cook two packs at a time, so I am just trying to work out how many packs I would need.
Also, how do you store the cooked bacon? Thanks a million.

Hi Sally,
Thank you for stopping by! Our packaging is 12 – 16 ounces. I used two one pound (16 ounce) packages on this one backing tray – so 32 ounces total. I bet you could get 3 – 4 packages on your tray, depending on the size.
I store the cooked bacon in the refrigerator in a covered glass dish. The bacon stays tasty for at least 4 or 5 days (rarely lasts that long, though)!
Hope that helps. Thanks a million to you for your comment.
